As GB Marine’s Founder and Managing Director, Gurudas Banerjee is the driving force behind GB Marine for the past 27 years. Prior to co-founding GB Marine, Mr. Banerjee held the position of Senior Naval Architect in Kenton Marine. In that role, Mr. Banerjee was responsible for technical project management, documentation, design, calculations, analysis, survey, supervision and study of related maritime and offshore projects and activities.

Mr. Banerjee is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology (Kharagpur), where he earned a Bachelor of Technology (Honors) degree in Naval Architecture. He is also a Fellow at the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers Singapore.

As GB Marine’s Technical Director, Xia Hailin is responsible for providing technical oversight and management to project teams at GB Marine in support of our client activities worldwide since joining the company in 1996.  Prior to joining GB Marine, Mr. Hailin worked at the Changjiang Ship Design Institute. In that role, Mr. Hailin was involved with engineering design, analysis and supervision work of different project teams. Prior to that, he worked as a hull engineer in Xiahai Shipyard of Guangzhou Shipping Authority with significant involvement in ship design.

Mr. Hailin is a graduate of Wuhan University of Water Transportation Engineering in China, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering. He is a member of the China Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers.

As GB Marine’s Senior Hydrodynamicist, Dr. Zaw Naing Oo and his team are responsible for all computational hydrodynamic analysis for offshore projects. Prior to joining GB Marine in 2007, Dr. Naing Oo was head of the Mathematics Department at Thanlyin Technological University in Myanmar. His area of expertise was Engineering Mathematics. His research focused on developing a particular method for numerical integration for hyperbolic systems of partial differential equations.

Dr. Zaw Naing Oo holds a Phd. in Engineering Mathematics from the Yangon Technological University of Myanmar. 

As GB Marine’s marketing director, Partha Banerjee is responsible for the overall corporate sales, brand management, and customer acquisition strategies. He is also a Naval Architect undergoing training for his P.E. designation. Prior to joining GB Marine in 2013, Mr. Partha Banerjee worked as a market research analyst for Deltek, and a business analyst for BlueAlly.

Mr. Partha Banerjee holds a Masters in Business Administration from Syracuse University, USA, a Bachelors of Science degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of New Orleans, USA, and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Communications Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada. He is an associate member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME), USA.
