New Vessel Design: The Manor Floatel - Riverside Luxury
The "Manor Floatel" is the only floating hotel in India located on the Hooghly River, near the famous Howrah Bridge of Calcutta. The vessel design is inspired by European Floatels moored to the seabed, however the Manor Floatel is anchored upon the Hooghly River. The anchoring system securing the floatel consists of 4 x 1.5 ton anchors. A specially designed gangway connecting the shore with the hotel, adjusts to the change in the water level at high tides and low tides. The hotel is designed to meet criteria for a 4-star accreditation by the Department of Tourism in India.
